"Penny visited our school for an author's workshop with our 2 OC (Gifted) classes. During the visit she presented in 3 different ways. Firstly, a general talk to 60 children about her own writing, what had inspired and interested her and the process that she had gone through to be published. Secondly were class writing workshops where Penny passed on tips and skills. Thirdly was an intensive writing class for a smaller more talented group.
The children really enjoyed meeting a 'real live author' and were full of questions that Penny was all too willing to answer. The children's writing benefited fron the workshop, especially the smaller intensive group. The children also loved to 'goop' competition which was keenly contested."

"Penny's visit to our school gave an engaging and interactive talk that the students and teachers at PHCS enjoyed. Her sharing of her Christian journey complemented the lead up to Easter and gave an insight into the inspiration of her books. Our keen readers loved getting their books signed by Penny."
Helen Sillar, Teacher Librarian, Pacific Hills Christian School.
