How can I help you in 2026?

​Hello February! 
It's that time of year, when we've moved past our dreamy new year's resolutions, settled into new routines, and hit the growing reality of our to do list.
Yikes! 
But maybe it doesn't have to be so terrifying? 
Obviously, I can't provide a solution to every thing on your list, but here are 6 things I might be able to help you with as you dive into 2026...

#1 - Are you looking for a speaker to encourage, challenge or inspire?
I'm expanding my speaking availability this year to include conferences, retreats, womens' events and kids-clubs. My strengths are applying Scriptural truths to everyday struggles: for example, living in anxious times, responding with faith to challenging issues, and  empowering missional living in the everyday. I'll be uploading more information to my website soon, but if you have any questions in the mean-time, just flick me an email.

#2 - Have you been given the task of finding an author for your school's book week? 
I can help with that. Not only do I know a range of Christian authors who might suit your school's needs, schools visits are something I'm good at. (You can check the testimonials here.) I can present from K-12, run writing workshops or do assembly/chapel presentations. The really special thing about my visits is that (if you want me to) I can talk about how my Christian faith has influenced what I write and why. ​

#3 - Wondering how to help your kids enjoy writing? Or just need something gentle for them to watch on the way home from church?
My YouTube channel has two playlists that might come in handy. Writing Warm-Ups for Kids is a series of videos with writing activities specifically designed ot help kids push past barriers and enjoy creative writing just for the fun of it. My Storytime with Penny Reeve videos are simple read alouds featuring some of my picture books and drawing out their main themes to encourage kids. 

#4 - Are you looking for a particular kind of kids book, or need suggestions for resources for a children's ministry setting? 
I don't know every book that's ever come out, but I try to keep tabs on quality resources for children, especially when they incorporate faith themes and content. I write regular reviews of books I love (see here) and will be presenting a seminar on Picture Books as Pastoral Care at the upcoming SMBC Children's Ministry Conference. If there is something you are looking for, let me know. I might know something to recommend. Alternatively, if there is a book you've discovered that should be on my radar, please tell me about that too!

#5 -  Have you written a children's book - or would like to - and have a bucket load of questions? Or are you a writer looking for accountability, prayer support and community? 
I love helping writers figure out their next steps or get clarity on their current children's books. Members of my Bungalow Lane newsletter can book hour long appointments to get feedback, advice and next steps advice on their work-in-progress. 
I'm planning to run a 6 week, online, small group cohort for writers later this year. We'll be focusing on positive writing rhythms, goal progress and faithful writing. If you'd like more information, or are interested in participating, please send me an email and I'll keep you in the loop.
