New books ahead, and a new name too!

It's been rather exciting at my desk lately. 
For those of you who are subscribed to my newsletter, you'll know what I'm talking about. At the end of last year I received two contracts for new books with children's books publisher, Wombat Books. These included the long awaited fourth installment in the Tania Abbey series (if you haven't yet met Tania now's a good time to do so) and a brand new picture book. 
Since then I've also received another contract, but this time for a novel for older readers. A novel set in India about two young girls trafficked into slavery. This book has been accepted by the YA/adult imprint of Wombat Books', Rhiza Press, and is scheduled for release mid next year. 
The really exciting thing about two of these projects is that they're written for a wider audience than the Christian book market that I've been writing for so far. The picture book and the novel for older readers will be sold into the general market. They'll find their way into public libraries, local schools and general bookshops. So, although they're still obviously mine, they're different and their readers will be different too. 
Because of this, I've decided to give these new books, and others that will come after them, another author name. One that can still reflect who I am, but allows new readers, parents and schools the option to pick and choose which books of mine they'd like to interact with.
That new name is Penny Jaye. I'll be officially launching the new name and website soon in preparation for the new books, and I'll will predominantly share about them from that platform. So, if you're as excited as me for these new books, please do keep an eye out for the new name as it pops up in social media and so forth.
